Serrated T-handle shovel
Serrated edge · full tang · 31–36in · Mid · the one that lasts years
The workhorse. A 31–36 inch T-handle shovel with a serrated edge on one or both sides lets you step the blade in, cut a clean plug, and lever it out without kneeling. On open ground and deep targets it does in fifteen seconds what a hand digger does in three minutes.
The serration is the spec that matters. Grass is held together by root mat, and a plain blade skids across it — a serrated edge saws through. Brands worth searching: Lesche, Predator, Anaconda, and Garrett's Razor Relic.
Look for a full tang running the length of the handle. Blades welded to a socket are the ones that snap when you lever.
